what is shmuelicoin?
Shmuelicoin (SHMC) is a real cryptocurrency token on the Solana blockchain, the same network that processes billions of dollars in daily volume. It was minted live on air for the ShmueliCast podcast.
Technically: SHMC is an SPL token (Solana's standard token format, the equivalent of ERC-20 on Ethereum), which means it works out of the box with every major Solana wallet: Coinbase Wallet, Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, hardware wallets, all of them.

why the supply can never grow
Most "joke coins" have a dirty secret: the creator can print more anytime. SHMC can't. Here's why:
Every Solana token has a mint authority: a master key that can create new coins. At launch, after minting exactly 1,000,000 SHMC, we permanently revoked that key. This is recorded on the blockchain itself and is irreversible by design. Not a promise, not a policy: a mathematical property of the network.
This is the same trust mechanism behind Bitcoin's famous 21 million cap. Anyone on Earth can verify it in 10 seconds: open the Solscan page and look for "Mint Authority: none".
We also revoked the freeze authority, meaning nobody (including us) can ever freeze or confiscate coins from a holder. Your SHMC is yours, cryptographically.

- Install a wallet from the App Store / Google Play # e.g. Coinbase Wallet — the blue wallet app, not the green exchange app
- Tap "Create a new wallet" and follow the steps
- Write your recovery phrase on paper. Not a screenshot. Paper. Anyone with those words owns your wallet
- Your address is like your email for crypto: safe to share. Tap Receive, pick Solana (SOL), and copy that address

- Watch/listen to the episode and catch the secret word
- Paste your Solana address + the word into the claim form
- After the show, coins are sent to every valid claim. Open your wallet and your SHMC will be there, gold coin and all

- One claim per wallet # duplicates are auto-rejected
- Wrong secret word = no coins # nice try though
- You never pay anything. No fees, no "connect wallet", no signatures. Anyone asking you to pay or sign to receive SHMC is a scammer.
